The Lekhnath Small Town Water Supply and Sanitation Project serves as a major infrastructure initiative to provide clean, accessible water to the plain areas and lower-elevation hill zones of Lekhnath Municipality.
 
 

The project integrates six primary water supply schemes, divided between original pilot systems and subsequent expansion phases:

  • 1. Lapsidanda Water Supply System (New System): Constructed under the initial Small Town Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project (STWSSSP) framework to cover newly expanded service zones.

  • 2. Dandanak Water Supply System (New System): Developed alongside Lapsidanda to tap additional sources and extend coverage across lower-lying residential wards.

  • 3. Arghaun Water Supply System (Existing System): An older pre-existing system integrated and rehabilitated under the project to ensure uninterrupted flow and uniform quality standards.

  • 4. Shishuwakhudi Water Supply System (Existing System): Another baseline existing scheme brought under the central operational framework of the Lekhnath Small Town Water Supply Users and Sanitation Committee (STWSUSC).

  • 5. First Co-Finance Water Supply System: Implemented under a cost-sharing/co-financing model (typically involving government funding, community user contributions, and institutional loans) to increase reservoir and distribution network capacity.

  • 6. Second Co-Finance Water Supply System: A further phase expansion designed to keep pace with rapid urbanization, population growth, and rising daily demand in the municipality.

14. 100 cum Reservoir Tank = 1 no.(at arghaun ws system, Pokhara - 26)

15. 300 cum Reservoir Tank = 1 no. (at Khueledanda, Dandakonak WSS, Pokhara - 27)

16. 200 cum Reservoir Tank = 1 no. (at Paitekharane, Arghaun WSS, Pokhara - 26)

17. 100 cum Reservoir Tank = 1 no. (Bijayapur Plotting Area, Pokhara - 26)

18. 200 cum Reservoir Tank = 1 no. (Kulayena Mandir Area, Pokhara - 26)

19. 200 cum Reservoir Tank = 1 no. (Pipalsare Area, Pokhara -26)

20. 400 Cum Reservoir Tank = 1 no. (Narespur Area, Pokhara - 26) 

21. 100 cum Reservoir Tank = 1 no. (Thumako Danda Area, Pokhara - 26)

22. 200 cum Reservoir Tank = 1 no. (Tigertop Area, Pokhara - 26) 

23. Iron Remover Filter Plant at Panditthar Khahare - 1 Unit.

24. Iron Remover Filter Plant at Dhungepatan - 1 Unit.

25. Iron Remover Filter Plant at Paitekharane - 1 Unit.

29. Break Pressure Tank = 4 nos. (one in Lapsidanda WS System & three in Dandakonak WS system)

30. Collection Chamber = 1 no. (Arghaun WS System)

31. Valve Chambers = 70 nos.

32. Washout Valve = 40 nos.

33. Air Valves = 50 nos.

8. Mohari Deep Boring = 1 numner, Capacity, 2.5 lps

9. Syangkhudi Deep Boring = 1 number, Not in Use

4. 15.5 meter long span Truss Bridge at chilaune danda are - 1 unit

5. Office Building at Pokhara Lekhnath-30, Dhungepatan, Pradesh No 4

6. 900 meters DI pipe Laying at Main Pipeline Giunjekhola Area

7. 2500 meters 90mm HDPE Pipe Laying from Arghaunchowk to Talchowk.

8. Small Dam constructed at Giunjekhola
